Procedure for Invitation for Foreign Citizens Arriving in The Russian Federation

Registration of invitations takes 21 calendar days, but it is advisable to receive from you everything that is needed at least two months before the planned arrival by e-mail of the Department of International Relations – Ready-made invitations are sent by express mail EMS and DHL with the condition of reimbursement by the student (graduate student, trainee) of the cost of sending.

In order to submit documents for issuing invitations to the Ministry for Internal Affairs, we need to receive from you by e-mail a scanned copy of the first page of your passport (with a photo and a signature) and, if there is an extension of the passport, also a copy of the page with a note on the extension of its validity (the validity of the passport must be at least five years from the date of entry into Russia, for trainees - not less than 1.5 years from the date of completion of the internship), as well as the completed application form (see in the attachment).

 In addition, when you come to Russia you should have:
On the day of your arrival in Moscow, after the release of the order for admission (excluding weekends and holidays, non-working hours of the department), you need to report to the International Relations Department (address: Moscow, Tverskoy Boulevard, 25, room 61 b), with:

A) a foreign passport;
B) a migration card with your signature;
C) a copy of the railway or air ticket;
D) 4 photographs (3x4, colored, matte);
E) a copy of the learning agreement (for paid students);
F) medical insurance covering 10 days before entry, stay in Russia and 10 days after departure;
G) medical certificate (with a note on the passage of the test for HIV );
H) copies of documents certifying education or training (translated and notarized);
I) money to pay for studies, accommodation, sending invitations by mail.
